What I’m excited to bring to Fitcy Health members:

Seeking therapy may seem difficult; yet, it could be major step to deal with problems that make people suffer. Mental health services can be extremely useful in times of crises, in order to endure and cope. My experience in counseling showed me that people usually seek therapy when their psychological defenses fail to help them manage life changes, or when persisting symptoms block them from living a meaningful and joyful life. Sharing one’s difficulties, addressing them to a specialist could already be calming (it is a common true that words can have a healing power). Later on, recognition, self awareness becomes the starting point of a possible change; the person starts to realize the different points of view in a specific situation, his/her position in the dynamics of the family, some of the motifs behind his/her choices. This process allows the liberation of energy which can help him/her to create a better, healthier relationship with oneself and others. At the same time, he/she acquires tools for dealing with similar difficulties in the future. One of the ethical rules I follow in my work is to avoid proposing readymade solutions to the patient; every human being is or should be driven by his/her own desire, in terms of a unique character giving meaning in life. I support the person to (re)discover what’s important for him/her and pursuit it.
