Clinical & Counselling Psychologist
Ayla is a Clinical Psychologist who was exposed to an array of different clients, including children, adolescents and adults allowing her the unique opportunity to have honed her skills in various evidence-based treatments. Aside from completing professional assessment and diagnosis, she worked on educating clients about disorders, monitoring and evaluating client progress and, developing and maintaining confidential client records. Ayla’s work with refugees exposed her to a diverse and rare range of disorders that are not commonly seen such as schizophrenia, bipolar 2, autism, PTSD, and rare forms of intellectual disabilities such as Fragile-X syndrome, and sexual abuse and neglect. With her adult psychopathology cases, she has treated more widely seen disorders such as depression, anxiety, marital and relationship difficulties and OCD. Furthermore, during this time she has had a great chance to work and collaborate with doctors and psychiatrists which allowed her the chance to develop and effectively work within a team and better her communication skills.
