Emilia is a licensed clinical therapist from the Ministry of Public Health, Beirut-Lebanon. She has graduated with academic Honors from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), holding a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She is accepted in the Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program (APPP) in the Psychoanalytical Center of California (PCC). When Emilia chose the major of Psychology, I knew that it was a science, that delves into our depths, urging us to seek the discovery of our person and understand it in its particularity, peculiarity, vulnerability, and strength. Hence, she always sought to deepen her understanding and forge her interests and competencies through different approaches including analytic therapy; trauma therapy; psychodynamic therapy, counselling, and mindfulness practice. Emilia helps people who seek therapy to discover their mind, to realize who they are at the deepest level, to understand their problems, deal with crisis situations, define goals, and know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole, and safe. As you get more comfortable talking to her about fears and tough feelings that you worry about revealing, you build the skills that will enable you to show yourself to your family, friends, and colleagues.

What I'm excited to bring to Fitcy Health members:
I believe that the most important thing that I have to offer to Fitcy Health members is my work on the strategies that allow patients to address the root causes of their difficulties and build meaningful social connections. I will also be willing to work on helping them find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships. Mental health problems are common, but help is available, and as Ann Voskamp said: “Shame dies when stories are told in safe places.”
