Clinical Psychologist
Franca is a 46-year-old woman who had a childhood dream of becoming a doctor to help people. However, as she grew older, Franca realized that she had a preference for dealing with emotional and psychological issues. She believes that her strengths lie in her empathy and humor, which are some of the reasons why she chose to study Psychology. Franca graduated from Buenos Aires University 23 years ago and has since worked in various fields related to psychology. She has worked in prevention programs such as the Fogarty International Center and UNICEF, research projects for The University of Miami and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, as well as teaching and providing psychological support in public hospitals and NGOs. Franca has a postgraduate career in Focused Short-Term Psychotherapy and has provided psychological support to HIV patients both individually and in groups through peer support groups for teenagers and adults with HIV, as well as training workshops for psychologists providing psychotherapy. In the private field, Franca provides online psychotherapy to teenagers and adult patients. Outside of work, Franca enjoys practicing yoga and living in a quiet place with her family and dogs. She describes herself as sociable and curious, appreciating teamwork, and enjoys collaborating to promote human well-being in different fields. Working in Fitcy provides an interesting challenge for Franca as she accompanies people from different cultures and backgrounds.
