Mary Ann is an American, born and raised in the Middle East. Growing up, she learned to understand both cultures very well. As she saw the need and shame put on therapy in the Middle East, this drove her to become a counselor and return to the Middle East. The last 6 years Mary Ann has been a school counselor in a Jordanian school where she provided counseling services to students from KG to 12th grade. She saw the joy in the parents’ eyes as their kids were getting help, but there was no shame put on the family. As she saw the benefits for the children, this passion grew more to provide opportunities for those who would get public shame for seeking help. She is empathetic and passionate about helping those who are seeking it.
