He volunteered at community-based organisations for several years before completing his Masters in Research Psychology and Counselling Psychology degrees in 2012 and 2015 respectively. In addition to his continued involvement in the NGO sector, Steven has run a private counselling psychology practice for the past eight years. While he has worked with clients who have experienced diverse challenges, he has usually assisted clients with challenges such as addiction, anxiety, depression, destructive anger, difficulties with adjustment, grief, parenting, relationship difficulties, as well as overall life circumstances. He has worked with clients between the ages of 2 and 70 years old, but his regular clientele has included people between the ages of 12 and 40. Through his years of practice, Steven continues to appreciate the opportunity to be a part of and witness clients’ journeys of psychological-mindedness and healing.

What I'm excited to bring to Fitcy Health members:
I am excited to bring a humanising approach to mental healthcare. Whilst it is important to work with clients to arrive at mental health diagnoses, I believe that it is just as important to see how clients’ realities or lived experiences have contributed to their being or mental health. In working with me, clients can expect to move between past and present to arrive at new understandings of their presenting problems.
